10 Basic Dance Moves For Beginners.!!

Almost nobody dances sober unless they happen to be insane – Howard Phillips

Have you ever watched someone dance and wondered how they manage to come up with so many different motions so quickly? Great dancers generally have a series of moves that they can rely on time and time again.
Continue reading for a list of 10 online fundamental dance techniques that you can learn in minutes and use whenever you want to dance.
1. The Two-Step
The Two-Step was the first motion that came effortlessly to me when I first started dancing at gatherings. It’s as easy as stepping from side to side to the music! If you’re looking for something that will allow you to simply groove and enjoy the music, look no further…
2. The Monestary
This move originated at a St. Louis club named Monestary! It’s based on the Two-Step, so if you took that class, you already have a footwork foundation. You’ll tap your feet to the front instead of bringing them together, with your knee and foot twisted inward. Then, while tapping your feet, rotate your arms and shoulders in a circular motion.
3. Booty Pop (Side To Side)
This sensual dance is incredibly TikTok-friendly, just like the Woah, but with more feminine energy. Bend your knees, place your hands on one knee, and then bring the other leg from bent to straight while bending your knee inward to perform a booty pop to the side. If you’re a badass with long hair, keep it all on one side so it doesn’t flop in your face when you pop!
4. The Billy Bounce
Surprisingly, the foundation of this club-ready routine is… a bounce! In this dance moves the difference is that instead of going up and down, your knees will come inside with each bounce. After you’ve mastered the funky little knee bounce, add an upward kick to each side.
The nicest part about this move is that while the footwork takes a few minutes to master, an arm movement isn’t required to make it appear cool. Just keep your arms in front of you.
5. Freestyle moves
At first, it is not necessary to have the best steps in town but to be comfortable. Stretching before the beginning is always a good idea, to get in the pace for dancing. Freestyle dancing gives you the freedom to experiment and learn on your own. You can begin it by trying to copy steps from music videos of your choice. Dancing in front of a mirror will help you know your mistakes. This will not only help you to warm up but will also let you know your passion well.
6. The Dougie
The Dougie is, in fact, a real dance motion! You’ll be moving your weight from side to side, just like the Two-Step, but with some shoulder motions and a little extra attitude. Try it with various other songs besides the one that made it popular; you’ll discover it works with any hype beat.
7. Scoop Arm Into Hip Sway
So, this is more of a combo than a move, but it only takes a few minutes to master and goes with any fun, sassy tune… So it has a right to be here, right?! Scoop your arm over your chest, then bring it over your head, and finally point it in front of your chest for this action. You’ll sway your hips from side to side and groove it out after you point your arm in front of you.
8. The Bust Down
Blueface, a LA rapper, popularised the Bust Down in his 2019 club song “Thotiana.” Grab your belt, raise one arm in the air, and let your body to dip in time with the music.
9. The Biz Markie
The Biz Markie is a classic party dance that was inspired by rapper Biz Markie. It became popular in the 1990s after Biz Markie started performing it on stage. Allow your shoulders to bounce while you practice; the bounce is what gives this motion its cool, laid-back vibe.
10. The Humpty
You’ll rotate your hips to one side while bending your knees for this bouncing routine. After that, you’ll jump and cross your legs, allowing your feet to briefly tap the floor before returning to your original legs spread stance. Once you’ve mastered that, finish the maneuver by making a windmill motion with your arms. This move is ideal for any Hip Hop music with a double bass because of the leg cross.
